Sequencing of metagenomes
Complete metagenomes, prokaryotic cDNA, 16S/18S RNA
Sequencing the genomic information of the micro-organisms of a biotope makes it possible to identify all genes which are present in the organisms and as yet unknown in order to obtain information on metabolic activity or metabolic potential and the fundamental complexity of the metagenome investigated.
The sequencing can be carried out on different levels:
- Complete metagenomes
- Prokaryotic cDNA
- 16S / 18S RNA
