GATC expands into France and UK

Constance (September 26th, 2005) – GATC Biotech AG has established a subsidiary in Marseille, France. GATC, being a leading one-stop-shop supplier for molecular biology services and software for industry and academy in Europe, will strengthen its presence and sales activities in the French market with the new subsidiary. In addition, to satisfy the growing demand in the United Kingdom, two new employees were hired for the subsidiary in Cambridge, which was founded at the beginning of 2004. Hence in just 18 months GATC successfully established two European subsidiaries. Organisation and management of the French subsidiary has been assigned to Dr. Marjolaine Baldo, who previously worked as Sales Manager for a French competitor.

"Our long-term corporate and growth targets require our presence in the French market. Therefore the foundation of the subsidiary in Marseille was the next logical step after we established the English subsidiary back in 2004. With Dr. Baldo we won a General Manager with the right know-how and experience to successfully market our services and bioinformatic software in France,“ says Peter Pohl, CEO of GATC Biotech AG.
