We can do this because we provide multiplatform strategies, using all leading sequencing technologies on the market, such as Applied Biosystems ABI 3730xl for Sanger sequencing, Illumina’s HiSeq 2000 and Roche Diagnostics GS FLX+ System for Next Generation sequencing as well as the new single molecule sequencer PacBio RS from Pacific Biosciences.

We serve over 10,000 customers in 40 countries around the globe and have subsidiary companies in Great Britain, France and Sweden – the fact that GATC Biotech is one of the top companies in this sector is not only down to technical or scientific reasons, however:

The company is still privately owned by the Pohl family. The atmosphere here is therefore very informal with flat hierarchies and uncomplicated structures. The company headquarters in Constance on Lake Constance also maintains a very motivating and inspiring effect on the 150 or so employees in the GATC team.
