Change in DNASTAR and GATC Relationship

DNASTAR and GATC Biotech have mutually agreed to end their 15-year software distribution arrangement effective July 15, 2011.  During the past 15 years, the partnership has produced extraordinary results in Europe, making DNASTAR software the leading European sequence analysis software, supported by GATC Biotech, the leading European sequencing services provider, for sales, marketing and technical support.  Both companies agreed that the objectives of the relationship have been met and it is time for both companies to move forward in a different arrangement.

Management of both DNASTAR and GATC Biotech agree that the change will be positive.  For DNASTAR, this situation provides an opportunity to reconnect more directly with customers in key European markets to ensure their needs are being well met now and in the future.  For GATC Biotech, this change allows all company personnel to be more fully focused on providing outstanding sequencing services to the market.  

GATC Biotech will continue to use DNASTAR software in many parts of its business operations and the companies will continue to collaborate on projects, as appropriate.
